Life is better when we are dancing together.
Every Wednesday I hold an Applied Somatics group, work developed by Dr. Andrea Tradaldi. It is comprised of slow movement sequences for fascial nervous system release and regulation.
Join me as we transform his work into Somatic Dance. It is being born out of my love for grounded dance and music that makes my body move.
It will be a synergy of all the geeky science stuff in me. A combination of Tradaldi's fascial nervous system trauma releasing movement sequences, anatomy, physiology, chemistry, physics, wave and vibration theory, my 25 years of somatic bodywork and transgenerational trauma work, my love for the planet and really good wavy organic electronic music.
On these evenings you will connect with your fascial trains. Learn about your body. Achieve contact with individual muscles. Open your ribcage to make more space for your heart. Learn what visceral breathing is and how you can dance with it. You will go deeper into your physical body and release tension so that subconscious mind can release memories that have been stored deeply in your fascia. Together we will sweat and release.
Grounded space. Genguine connection in the tempo you need. Some day there will be day long sessions and dinners.
Community.
There must be a first time, and I never ever know what is going to come out of my mouth. This comes from my heart, an absolute love for music that makes my body move and all things organic.
I want to have a spectacular last 30 years of my life being in service healing the children. I can see my future. I am old. I am behind decks dancing and laughing at some festival. That crazy old lady.
This is how I am going to get there.

WHO AM I?
My name is Anna. I a 62 year old psytrance loving science geek. A Registered Nurse. A Waldorf kindergarten teacher. A Somatic Transgenerational Trauma therapist. A child of nature. An award winning gardener. A mother of both human and cats. A dancer my whole life, a conscious dancer for the last 18 years.
I can trace my genetic material to 1420. Native Americans, Powhattans, a Chief and his woman. Running Stream and Morning Flower. Pocahontas is my great (x13) aunt. I also carry genes from the Europeans that slaughtered them, genocide in my genes.
A few years ago I read a research paper that discussed how early psychedelic experiences form people. It was a clear cold night almost 3000 meters above sea, January, under the diamond skies of Breckenridge, Colorado. I was 15. They were right.
